- I just received our review unit Amiga Surfer today, and thought I'd make
- a few comments just to show I'm not a total curmudgeon who hates Amiga
- Tech and all of you.
-
- The presentation of the box is really pretty nice. The box art
- definitely has the cheery, "Buy me, I'm friendly!" look that seems to
- work well.
-
- The modem, while a bit big (it probably has about 2-3 times the volume of
- my Supra 28.8k), bears the Amiga logo. Nice touch.
-
- I can't really comment on the manuals, since I only got the German. Same
- goes for the Amiga Magazin mini-issue enclosed, the registration cards,
- and the Visa card application. :)
-
- It's so new I haven't had time to go ahead and plug it in yet (and I'm
- still puzzling over what I'm going to do with the German keyboard
- layout--probably scavenge for parts from broken A3000 keyboards) but yes,
- AT has made the Surfer look attractive.
